“ The vibes of this dimly lit speakeasy were really nice. Enjoyed the lime in the coconut. Cheese toast was pretty good and the chicken fried mushrooms too! But the best part is feeling like you're in a secret club. Date night or small gathering with close friends. ”

The background music complements the vibe without overpowering conversation. While the backbar isn’t particularly standout, the overall design and atmosphere are impressive. Drinks: 9.5/10 Recommendation: Slaughtered Ox The cocktail menu is extensive and creatively curated, featuring a diverse range of drinks with unique ingredients. Notably, it includes an exotic Louis XIII Sidecar priced over 500. The Slaughtered Ox, a Sazerac-style cocktail, stood out with its perfectly balanced flavors and a complementary chocolate garnish. Drinks are presented in high-quality glassware, accompanied by thoughtful garnishes and served on nice coasters, enhancing the overall drinking experience. Service: 7/10 The staff is professional, though interactions felt somewhat distant. Water was provided upon arrival, and prices are slightly above average for Calgary, but they align with the quality and atmosphere offered. ”

He goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is always lively. Whether it’s recommending the perfect drink, checking in to ensure guests are having a great time, or keeping everything running smoothly, Kiefer’s attention to detail and hospitality shine through. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that energy is contagious. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes, incredible service, and a GM who actually cares about making your night unforgettable, this is it. Huge shoutout to Kiefer for setting the bar (literally) so high! Can’t wait to come back. ”
“ We dropped in on a sunny afternoon and it was so wonderfully dark and cool in this basement speakeasy attached to Comery Block. The atmosphere was really neat. We only ordered one cocktail each, but mine was a delicious spin on The Grass Harp that the bartender whipped together for me because they were out of some ingredients for the actual Grass Harp cocktail; it was cucumber-forward and very refreshing. My spouse got Henry's Heart which was a very interesting flavour - almost like a savoury and smokey snack in a drink, especially with the Bocconcini on top. The service was lovely and the bartender so graciously made me another drink when I accidentally spilled my first one. The drinks are a bit on the pricey side (around 20-26 per cocktail), but that's pretty standard for a speakeasy these days. I'm sure we'll return to try the other beverages and enjoy the comfortable and clandestine atmosphere again. ”
“ What an excellent addition to Calgary’s nightlife! I had Prickett on my list for a while and recently went with a group of 5. The seating is cozy but not crowded, which is totally fine. It’s giving Manhattan vibes with the standing tables (IYKYK). The cocktails we had were fantastic. I ordered the same one twice, it was that good. Teaches of Peaches I think it was called. Great night out or date night spot! Warning: the music does get pretty loud as the night goes on - if that’s an issue for you. ”
